1 SCHILLER Pulse Wave Analysis (APW): assessment of central hemodynamics and measurement of blood pressure. 2 The device combines the accuracy of auscultatory and the reliability of oscillometric BP measurements to create a 24-hour profile of stiffness parameters such as pulse wave velocity (PWV), augmentation index, and central and peripheral BP measurements. 3 The stand-alone device is ideally integrated into the processes of 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, and specially trained specialists are not required to perform PWA measurements. 4 The algorithm has been tested by SCHILLER in a number of studies, including comparisons with the “gold standard” (i.e., invasive blood pressure measurements); for this reason, the algorithm is recommended by the ESH/ESC standards for clinical use. 5 Simple user interface with color screen. 6 Diastolic measurement for patient comfort. 7 BP profile covering up to 48 hours, not just point measurements (tonometric method). 8 A more reliable auscultatory method of measurement is also used. 9 Fully integrated into a wide range of SCHILLER diagnostic equipment and can be freely connected to the SEMA data management system and GIS.
